Notes[]
- The title of the episode is a quote from Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's Frankenstein.
- When telling her family history to the class, Diana mentions The Earl of Pembroke who helped with a Scottish Peace Treaty in 1303, his daughter Lady Charlotte, and her husband The Earl of Canterbury. Of these people only the Earl of Pembroke is a real person. The Earl of Pembroke in 1303 - Aymer de Valence, 2nd Earl of Pembroke - had no legitimate children, only an illegitimate son and the title went extinct on his death. No Earl of Canterbury ever existed but a Viscount Canterbury did exist.
